1. Acceptance of Terms

• Training certificates issued upon successful course completion

Service Availability:

• Services are provided "as is" and "as available"
• We aim for 99.5% uptime but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access
• Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance where possible

3. User Accounts

Registration Requirements:

• You must be at least 18 years old to register
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• One account per individual (unless purchasing organization licenses)

Account Security:

• You must keep your password secure and confidential
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach
• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
• We are not liable for losses arising from unauthorized account use due to your negligence

Account Suspension:

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that:

• Violate these Terms
• Remain inactive for more than 24 months
• Are used for fraudulent purposes

4. Course Access and Completion

Access Period:

• Standard course access: 12 months from date of purchase
• Access requires an active internet connection and compatible device
• Minimum requirements: Modern web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge), stable internet connection

Course Completion:

• You must complete all required modules and assessments to receive certification
• Certificates are issued digitally upon successful completion
• Completion records are maintained for 7 years for compliance purposes
• You may download and print your certificate at any time during your access period

Course Content:

• Content is regularly updated to reflect changes in Martyn's Law legislation and guidance
• We reserve the right to modify course structure, content, and assessments
• Major content changes will be communicated to active users
• Updates during your access period are provided at no additional cost

Technical Support:

• We provide technical support via email during business hours (Mon-Fri, 9am-6pm GMT)
• We will make reasonable efforts to resolve technical issues within 48 hours

5. Payment Terms

Pricing:

• All prices are displayed in British Pounds (GBP)
• Prices include VAT where applicable
• We reserve the right to change prices with 30 days' notice
• Price changes do not affect purchases already completed

Payment Methods:

• Payments are processed securely via our payment provider (Stripe or similar)
• We accept major credit and debit cards
• Payment is due in full at time of purchase
• We do not store your full card details on our servers

Organization Licenses:

• Bulk pricing available for organizations training multiple staff members
• Custom quotes provided upon request

Invoicing:

• VAT invoices are automatically generated and sent to your email
• Invoices can be downloaded from your account dashboard
• For additional copies or amended invoices, contact us

6. Refund Policy

14-Day Cooling Off Period:

• You may cancel within 14 days of purchase for a full refund
• Full refund if no course content has been accessed
• Pro-rata refund if course partially completed (based on modules accessed)

After 14 Days:

• No refunds available if course has been completed
• No refunds for courses more than 50% completed
• Exceptional circumstances will be considered on a case-by-case basis

How to Request a Refund:

• Your account email address
• Order reference number
• Reason for refund request

Refunds are processed within 10 business days to your original payment method.

Non-Refundable Items:

• Administrative fees
• Certificates already issued
• Organization licenses after access codes have been distributed

7. Intellectual Property

Our Content Ownership:

• All course materials, videos, text, graphics, logos, and design are owned by us or our licensors
• Content is protected by UK and international copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws
• "Martyn's Law Learning" and our logo are trademarks

Your License to Use:

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to:

• Access course content for personal use only
• Download certificates for your records
• View materials during your access period

8. User Conduct

You agree to use our Services lawfully and appropriately. You must NOT:

Account Misuse:

• Share account access with unauthorized users
• Create multiple accounts to circumvent access restrictions
• Sell or transfer your account to others

Content Misuse:

• Reproduce, distribute, or publicly display course materials
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Website

System Interference:

• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Upload viruses, malware, or harmful code
• Interfere with or disrupt Services or servers
• Circumvent security features or access controls

Unlawful Activity:

• We update content regularly but cannot guarantee immediate updates

Service Availability:

• We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service
• Services may be suspended for maintenance, updates, or emergencies
• We are not liable for service interruptions beyond our control

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by UK law:

We are NOT liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunity
• Business interruption or loss of goodwill
• Damages resulting from your use or inability to use the Services
• Damages caused by technical failures, interruptions, or errors

Maximum Liability:

Our total aggregate liability for any claims related to the Services shall not exceed the amount you paid for the relevant course in the 12 months preceding the claim.
